Year 13 Prom at the Westmead Hotel

On Wednesday 26th June, at the Westmead, the Year 13 students gathered for their final celebration together. It was a lovely evening and Year 13 were on top form and were ready to let their hair down. Mrs Sullivan helped decorate the venue and tables and the rest of the students began arriving at the venue at 8.00 pm.

The guests were free to soak up the atmosphere before they tucked into a buffet of roast pork and all the trimmings, green salad, homemade coleslaw and potato wedges followed by lemon cheesecake and chocolate fudge cake.

The staff at the Westmead provided us with excellent service.  Special thanks go to the Prom Committee for organising the venue, for fundraising and for the music.

As their Head of Year, I was privileged to give a farewell and thank you speech and hand out some very special awards as voted for by staff and Year 12.

The evening finished with lots of dancing, and posing for photographs.

Thank you also to Mr Martin, Mr Smith, Mr Flood, Mrs Sullivan, Mrs Eden, Mr Biggs, Mr Hall, Mr Nolan, Mr Miastowski, Mrs Devlin, Miss Moran and Mrs O’Brien  for their support on the evening.

It was a fabulous evening, one that I hope they will all remember in years to come.

We look forward to celebrating with the year group when we receive their exam results in August.

Mrs Davies
Head of Year 13
