Lourdes Preparation Day

On Saturday, the students who are going on pilgrimage to Lourdes in May attended St Francis of Assisi Catholic College to join other young people from across the Diocese for training for the work they will be doing helping to assist and care for sick pilgrims. During the day, students found out about their roles and responsibilities as handmaids and brancardiers, how to safely use wheelchairs and information about lifting/moving techniques.

Well done to Laura-Grace, Nicole, Courtney, Mollie E, Kelsey, Ria, Mollie M, Katie and Megan for being excellent role models and a credit to the school community. Please pray for them as they prepare to go on pilgrimage that they may be blessed in their service. I am particularly proud of each one of them for the work they will be doing and for taking the opportunity to help those in need.

Thank you to Miss Madden, Mr Smyllie and Carmel from St John Fisher for accompanying the students on this visit.

Mr Miastowski
Head of Year 12
